Wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!
Anoche fué la última parte del tracking de nuestro disco, ahora todo está en manos de Roy con quien creemos haber hecho lo necesario para lograr lo que queremos con éste nuevo material. Roy es una gran persona y gran músico, con el que tuvimos una muy buena química, de manera que todo el proceso de grabar los tracks fué muy interesante y divertido. Además de que se ha adentrado bastante en cuestiones de pre-producción y arreglos con nuestras rolas y todo está sonando mejor de lo que teníamos en mente.
Ahora queda regresar al DF para hacer algunos shows, y esperar a ver como va saliendo la mezcla..calculamos que para antes de que acabe Marzo ya tengamos las rolas listas para mandar masterizar y maquilar.

Wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!
Last night we finished tracking for our album, now it's up to Roy with whom we think we have done exactly what we needed to have the sound that we wanted to achieve with this new material. Roy is a great person and musician, we had such great chemistry with the guy so all the recording process was pretty interesting and fun. Also he's been really into our songs in terms of pre-production and arrangements and everything sounds even better than what we had in mind.
Now we go back to Mexico City to do some shows, and just wait to see how the mixing is coming along.. we expect to have this ready for late March, so we can start mastering the album.

Gig in Guadalajara.
One day before going to Leon, we played in guad at the Larva... we thought it sounded awful, but in the video it seems it didnt sound that bad actually, check out the video, anyway, and we'll be soon uploading shoots of the recording sessions and of the next gigs we are going to play in gdl.
Un día antes de irnos a León, tocamos en Guadalajara en el Larva... según nosotros se oyó de la verga, pero parece que en el video no se oye taaaaaan de la verga, pero bueno ahi una checadita al video y vamos a subir pronto de la grabación y de los shows que se armen por acá en guadalajara.

TOP 10 EN ALTERLATINO
Al realizar una selección sobre lo mejor del año se corre el riesgo de pecar de subjetivo, en toda esta 3ra temporada de ALTERLATINO escuchamos tanta música de gran calidad, propuestas interesantísimas, estrenos,colaboraciones, y verdaderos clásicos instantáneos. Hacer este conteo es por demás difícil, significa ignorar nombres que seguramente estarán en el resto de las listas más famosas, proyectos de los cuales soy fanático, y canciones que marcaron mi vida en este 2008.
Solo nos limitaremos a enumerar a lo que --- de la maneramás objetiva posible --- nosotros consideramos como los grandes proyectos Independientes(que seguramente otras listas ni siquiera tomarán en cuenta) de este año; que sorprendieron y poseen la suficiente solidez para sobrevivir y tener un granfuturo dentro de la escena musical alternativa latinoamericana lo cual lespermitió estar dentro de la programación musical de ALTERLATINO de esta temporada que termina.

When making a selection of the best of the year, you might fall into the mistake of being too subjective. In this past third season of ALTERLATINO, we had the great chance to listen lots of amazingly interesting projects, great quality music, quite a few music premieres and some tunes that without a doubt became "instant clasics".
The task of choosing the best music projects of 2008 is far too complicated. It means that we have to somewhat ignore names -that we know almost for a fact-, will be in the most important music charts. I have to admit, I'm a big fan of some of those projects that we have to leave out of our Top 10, as they had big impact in my life during 2008. We are only going to include in our countdown what we consider to be the best 10 projects in the Independent scene. (maybe this projects won't even be considered to be part of any other music chart). We believe that the projects we have carefully and objectively (as possible) selected, have enough quality to survive in the difficult world of alternative music and would most definitely, have a great future in the Latin American alternative music scene.
